What happens during one of our Assessor visits ?
The fire risk Assessor will arrive at the agreed time and discuss all of the current occupation levels and fire safety installations already in place, this would ideally involve the responsible person or fire safety manager.
The premises will then be assessed by visiting all of the areas within the premises. This can be undertaken accompanied or unaccompanied depending on your wishes and the complexity of the layout.
A final discussion about the proposed recommendations will take place so that you are fully aware of why they are relevant.
The report will then be made which will identify the issues discussed and detail the changes/upgrades required.
The report is not a certificate but a working document which will detail achievable timescales to introduce the recommendations.
The assessor will be available to clarify any issues/queries once the report has been delivered.
The report should benefit all occupants within the designated premises and is a consultative document, showing compliance and due diligence.
